We’re honored to share that Be My Eyes has been named to Forbes’ inaugural Accessibility 100, a groundbreaking list spotlighting the most impactful organizations and individuals advancing accessibility around the world.

Curated by award-winning journalist Alan Schwarz in collaboration with a global panel of cross-disability experts, the list reflects a powerful moment for the accessibility movement and we’re proud to be part of it.

More Than a Recognition

At Be My Eyes, we’re driven by a simple belief: accessibility is foundational to inclusive, innovative, and ethical business. This recognition is not just about our technology or platform. It’s about honoring the original vision of our founder, Hans Jørgen Wiberg, who understood how meaningful it could be to combine technology with everyday kindness.

What makes this list so important is what it represents.

As Forbes writes:

“Accessibility is about far more than wheelchair ramps or live captioning. The field has emerged as a bustling innovation hub, an educational imperative and—unapologetically—an untapped business opportunity.”

This is a smart, future-forward strategy.

And, it’s long overdue.

In Good Company

We’re proud to be in the company of so many partners, collaborators, and friends:

  • Giants like Microsoft and Meta, who’ve invested deeply in making their products and workplaces more accessible, and who continue to partner with Be My Eyes to extend that impact.
  • Industry leaders like Google, Salesforce, Procter & Gamble, and Sony; brands that aren’t just customers of ours, but co-creators of more accessible customer experiences.
  • VCs like Enable Ventures, who are backing accessibility as a viable, scalable business opportunity.
  • And fellow changemakers like Alwar Pillai at Fable, Keely Cat-Wells, Yami Payano, Patrick Long, and so many others tackling the hard problems such as product design, economic inclusion and equitable employment

What This Means for the Future

The real impact of this recognition lies ahead.

The European Accessibility Act takes effect in a few days, setting new standards across industries.

Accessibility is increasingly tied to ROI, brand reputation, and customer experience. And innovation, especially at the intersection of AI and human support, is reshaping what’s possible for blind and low-vision users.

At Be My Eyes, we’re proud to be part of this movement. Since launch we have now grown to the largest community in the world for blind and low-vision users and almost 9 million volunteers strong.

But, we’re just getting started.
