Home Blog Customer Accessibility Suite Spotlight: Service Directory
Most accessible support fails at being found. A blind or low-vision customer who needs help has to navigate a website they already couldn’t use, hunt for a contact page, and hope the number they find leads somewhere useful.

The Be My Eyes Service Directory removes this entirely.
Service Directory is a centralized, accessible directory inside the Be My Eyes app that connects blind and low-vision users with customer support from organizations worldwide.
Instead of searching a website, customers browse a directory built for them from the start and in an app they already use. Every listing is a branded company page you control, showing how to reach your support team, what you offer, which languages you support and when you’re available.
Some of the organizations already listed include Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, Procter & Gamble, Hilton, Barilla, Tesco, Amtrak and Zain.
1. Request your listingYou tell us which business units, regions and support channels you want represented.
2. Build your company pageYou control what customers see – including opening hours, the services you offer, supported languages and geographic availability. The page carries your branding, so customers recognize you immediately.
3. Customers find you in the appBlind and low-vision users browse or search the directory inside Be My Eyes, an app they already use and already trust.
4. They connect to your supportDepending on what you’ve set up, that might be a direct phone number, your accessible service desk, or a live connection to your agents through Service Stream or Service Connect.
No navigating an inaccessible website to locate a phone number buried in a footer. The directory is designed to be used with a screen reader from the first tap.
Seeing a business listed signals that it has thought about accessible support. That changes how a customer approaches the interaction.
Reaching a team prepared for the conversation removes the transfers, repeated explanations and dead ends that make routine support draining.
Knowing in advance when support is available, and in which languages, saves the wasted effort of calling a line that might not be able to help.
Customers don’t need to learn a new tool or download anything else. The directory sits inside the Be My Eyes – currently used by over 1.1 million blind and low-vision users.
When something has gone wrong and the stakes feel high, the directory gets customers to a person quickly rather than through several layers of self-service.
There are approximately 340 million blind and low-vision people globally, and over a million of them use Be My Eyes. A listing puts your brand in front of an audience that is actively seeking businesses offering accessible support. We’ll also tell our community that your brand is listed (in supported countries)
Accessibility work is often invisible to the people it’s meant to serve. A directory listing is one of the few places where that investment is publicly legible to the customers who care most about it. This gives a visible right to say you support Be My Eyes – on your website, in comms and in CSR reporting.
When customers arrive through the right channel, agents may spend less time transferring calls and re-establishing context, and customers spend less time repeating themselves.
Compared with product remediation or a website rebuild, getting listed is a light lift. For organizations at the beginning of an accessibility programme, it delivers something customers can use while longer projects (such as Service Stream or Service Connect) are still in progress.
In sectors where products are broadly comparable, the quality of support is one of the clearest ways to stand apart. Being present where accessible service is being actively sought is a straightforward way to demonstrate it.
Service Directory is the simplest way to make your support visible to the customers who need it and is mostly a marketing and goodwill win – with a hint of accessibility. Upgrades such as Service Connect, Service Stream or Service AI can be discussed at any time if your brand is serious about delivering fully accessible help once customers arrive.
