Clearblue’s mission is to support women with accurate, accessible reproductive health information at life-changing moments. As part of that mission, Clearblue partnered with Be My Eyes to help blind and low-vision women privately and independently access their pregnancy test results through live visual support from Clearblue Careline advisors. The Challenge & Objective The Challenge For blind and low-vision women, reading the result of a pregnancy test can be emotionally and logistically challenging. Pregnancy tests are designed for sighted users, and asking others to interpret the results compromises privacy during a deeply personal moment. This lack of accessibility forced many to involve friends, family members, or even strangers just to know their result. An experience that can be disempowering and invasive. The Objective Clearblue recognized that for blind and low-vision women, accessing and understanding test results presents significant challenges. They aimed to develop a solution that would address this by providing accessible, confidential support that puts control back into the hands of those taking the test. Clearblue wanted to create a private, accessible solution that would: Empower blind and low-vision women to be the first to know their pregnancy results Provide confidential, expert guidance from Clearblue advisors Deliver global reach and real-time support in English Reinforce Clearblue’s commitment to reproductive autonomy and inclusion The Solution By launching a partnership with Be My Eyes and our Service Connect solution, Clearblue made it possible for blind and low-vision users to video call Clearblue’s Careline advisors directly from the app. Through this secure, one-on-one support channel, Clearblue advisors help interpret results from digital and line-based pregnancy or fertility tests. Advisors provide immediate support to ensure the test is read within valid timeframes. Users receive accurate, private answers with no need to involve others unless they choose to. Digital test results remain readable for 24 hours, offering additional flexibility. Results The Clearblue + Be My Eyes partnership has set a new standard in accessible healthcare product support. – Increased autonomy and privacy for blind and low-vision users in reproductive health – Hundreds of calls handled with dignity, empathy, and expert knowledge – Expanded awareness of inclusive design through international press and community advocacy – Redefined how healthcare brands can create inclusive, real-time experiences for users everywhere. “Women told us that they wanted to be in control of their reproductive health information. That they wanted to be the first to know and that they wanted to be able to access their results in private. We listened, and agree that this has been out of reach for too many, for too long. Clearblue has joined forces with Be My Eyes to give these consumers more control: To make sure blind and low-vision women and couples receive their results in a safe, private space with no judgment and with full support from Clearblue’s specialist Customer support advisors – just like any other woman.” Clearblue Customer Support Manager
