LONDON, UK – October 6, 2025 – Be My Eyes, the world’s leading Customer Accessibility Management platform, is now providing its accessibility software and services to BT and EE’s blind and low vision customers. The initiative brings on-demand visual interpretation to customers and makes BT Group the first telecommunications company in the UK to collaborate with Be My Eyes, marking a significant step forward in making essential services more accessible.
As part of this trial, blind and low-vision people in the UK, who use the Be My Eyes app, will have a new option to connect directly with BT and EE for live, accessible assistance across BT and EE products. Whether it’s support with account information, navigating services, or resolving technical challenges, this new channel is designed to give customers a more seamless and inclusive experience.
For many blind and low-vision individuals, contacting service providers can still represent a daunting prospect. Through this pilot with Be My Eyes, BT Group is taking a forward-looking step toward ensuring that all customers can interact with their services in a way that prioritizes independence, dignity, and ease of use.
“This pilot with BT is about more than just customer service, it’s about empowering blind and low-vision people in the UK to navigate the digital world with greater ease,” said Mike Buckley, CEO of Be My Eyes. “BT and EE represent two of the most trusted brands in communications, and by making their support more accessible through our platform, we’re helping people manage essential services on their own terms. We look forward to learning from this pilot and seeing how it can expand the possibilities for inclusive customer service in the UK.”
The six-month trial will focus on real-world interactions and gather direct feedback from blind and low-vision BT and EE customers. Insights from this period will help evaluate the impact of the initiative and inform future rollouts across other essential services.
Be My Eyes has a long history of connecting blind and low-vision individuals with the people and organizations they need to live more independently. By adding BT and EE to the platform in this test phase, Be My Eyes is expanding its mission to make critical services more accessible, ensuring that technology is not a barrier but a bridge.
