We've only just announced Google as the newest company available on Specialized Help, but we’re already celebrating another incredible milestone. The Be My Eyes community has just reached the astonishing number of 2,000,000 volunteers. It’s been an incredible ride, and we want to celebrate it with you!

Visual Assistance From 2015

“In 2015, we released Be My Eyes on App Store to make a difference in the lives of blind and low-vision people” explains Hans Jørgen Wiberg, founder of Be My Eyes. “Our mission is to make accessibility free for everyone. It’s incredible to see just how many beautiful people have joined the community since our launch!”.

In the last four years, Be My Eyes has brought sight to blind and low-vision people from all over the world: our community of volunteers have made this possible, answering thousands of calls every day and bringing visual assistance to the blind and low-vision users.

The Heart-Warming Be My Eyes Community

We are so proud of our community of volunteers and truly happy to see you share your love and excitement with us. American singer Bea Miller once described Be My Eyes as the “purest thing ever”, while for Ryan Sarver, successful entrepreneur, Be My Eyes is “so simple but so powerful”. Thanks to all of you for the beautiful words!

Your excitement when you answer a Be My Eyes call has always been our biggest source of inspiration. Like that time when american journalist Kari Steele answered a Be My Eyes call and described it as the “best experience ever”. Or when Youtube star Brennen Taylor helped a blind woman labeling food and shared his experience in a touching video on his channel! These are just some of your incredible Be My Eyes stories.
