{"id":4162,"date":"2026-02-24T15:42:43","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T15:42:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bemyeyes.com\/business\/?p=4162"},"modified":"2026-04-14T13:39:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T13:39:10","slug":"be-my-eyes-completes-soc-2-type-ii-audit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bemyeyes.com\/business\/news\/be-my-eyes-completes-soc-2-type-ii-audit\/","title":{"rendered":"Be My Eyes Completes SOC 2 Type II Audit, Confirming the Company\u2019s Robust Commitment to Strong Security Controls"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>San Francisco, California \u2013 24th February 2026 <\/strong>\u2013 Be My Eyes today announced the successful completion of its <strong>SOC 2 Type II audit<\/strong>, reinforcing its commitment to enterprise-grade security and operational rigor across its products and processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the recent launch of Be My Eyes Workplace \u2013 a suite of tools that helps make the workplace more accessible for employees who are blind or have low vision \u2013 and complementing its existing Customer Accessibility Suite, the SOC 2 Type II report further reinforces Be My Eyes\u2019 focus on delivering enterprise-class accessibility solutions that ensure customer data remains protected at every step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SOC 2 Type II examination assessed whether Be My Eyes\u2019 security controls were suitably designed and operating effectively over a period of time, in accordance with the AICPA\u2019s Trust Services Criteria for Security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cSecurity and trust are foundational to everything we build,\u201d <\/em>said Jesper Hvirring Henriksen, CTO at Be My Eyes. <em>\u201cAs more businesses adopt Be My Eyes accessibility technology \u2013 whether to better serve customers who are blind or have low vision, or to support employees who are blind or have low vision \u2013 this SOC 2 Type II report provides added confidence that our systems and processes are designed to protect sensitive data.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-layered-approach-to-security\"><strong>A Layered Approach to Security<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Be My Eyes software services, including Customer Accessibility Suite and Be My Eyes Workplace, are underpinned by a comprehensive information and data security program incorporating robust administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect against unauthorized access and emerging threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key security measures include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Encryption<\/strong> \u2013 Data in transit is protected using TLS 1.2 or higher and data at rest is encrypted using industry-standard encryption (including AES-256 where applicable).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Infrastructure assurances<\/strong> \u2013 We use major cloud providers with independently audited security programs (including ISO 27001 and SOC reports).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data retention controls<\/strong> \u2013 Administrators can configure retention windows, including as short as 24 hours, with automated deletion after the defined period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Access controls<\/strong> \u2013 Least-privilege access, role-based permissions, and controlled, logged administrative access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>AI data handling<\/strong> \u2013 Customer content submitted for AI interpretation is used only to generate responses and is not used to train AI models.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-enabling-accessibility-at-enterprise-scale\"><strong>Enabling Accessibility at Enterprise Scale<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As organizations expand their commitments to digital accessibility and inclusive workplaces, security assurance is essential.
