London, UK – October 9, 2025 – In celebration of World Sight Day, Be My Eyes<\/a>, the world\u2019s leading Customer Accessibility Management platform for people who are blind or partially sighted, today announced a six-month pilot partnership with Tesco, the UK\u2019s largest retailer, to enhance in-store accessibility for customers with sight loss. Through this collaboration, Be My Eyes users will be able to connect directly with Tesco colleagues via the app to receive personalised visual assistance while shopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With thousands of stores across the UK, Tesco is the first major supermarket in Europe to join Be My Eyes in offering on-demand support for blind and partially sighted customers. This pilot combines Tesco\u2019s commitment to inclusive customer service with Be My Eyes\u2019 award-winning technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through Be My Eyes, blind and partially sighted Tesco customers can identify products on the shelf and confirm correct sizes, variants or expiry dates, verify special Clubcard offers, promotions and loyalty card rewards, receive assistance with self-service checkouts, and request immediate support from customer service teams in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This six-month pilot will integrate Be My Eyes into Tesco\u2019s in-store support services, ensuring that blind and partially sighted customers can shop with greater confidence, independence and ease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
