We’ve only just announced Google<\/a> as the newest company available on Specialized Help, but we\u2019re already celebrating another incredible milestone. The Be My Eyes community has just reached the astonishing number of 2,000,000 volunteers. It\u2019s been an incredible ride, and we want to celebrate it with you!<\/p>\n

Visual Assistance From 2015<\/h2>\n

\u201cIn 2015, we released Be My Eyes on App Store to make a difference in the lives of blind and low-vision people\u201d<\/strong> explains Hans J\u00f8rgen Wiberg, founder of Be My Eyes. \u201cOur mission is to make accessibility free for everyone. It\u2019s incredible to see just how many beautiful people have joined the community since our launch!\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the last four years, Be My Eyes has brought sight to blind and low-vision people from all over the world: our community of volunteers have made this possible, answering thousands of calls every day and bringing visual assistance to the blind and low-vision users.<\/p>\n

The Heart-Warming Be My Eyes Community<\/h2>\n

We are so proud of our community of volunteers and truly happy to see you share your love and excitement with us. American singer Bea Miller<\/a> once described Be My Eyes as the \u201cpurest thing ever\u201d<\/strong>, while for Ryan Sarver<\/a>, successful entrepreneur, Be My Eyes is \u201cso simple but so powerful\u201d<\/strong>. Thanks to all of you for the beautiful words!<\/p>\n

Your excitement when you answer a Be My Eyes call has always been our biggest source of inspiration. Like that time when american journalist Kari Steele<\/a> answered a Be My Eyes call and described it as the \u201cbest experience ever\u201d. Or when Youtube star Brennen Taylor <\/a>helped a blind woman labeling food and shared his experience in a touching video on his channel! These are just some of your incredible Be My Eyes stories.<\/p>\n
