Be My AI, the  first-of-its-kind digital visual assistant powered by GPT-4, was mentioned amongst the Time Best Invention of 2023<\/a> thanks to the collaboration between Be My Eyes and OpenAI. The annual list features the most groundbreaking inventions, including new products and ideas, that TIME editors have identified as \u201clife changing\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new tool is providing people who are blind or have low vision with a better way to address everyday needs and acquire tools and visual descriptions never before possible,\u201d<\/em> said Michael Buckley, CEO of Be My Eyes. \u201cWe are grateful to TIME for this incredible recognition, as we work to create a more accessible world for people of all abilities.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This acknowledgment comes after a week from Be My Eyes\u2019 celebrations for officially reaching 1,000,000 chats on Be My AI. As of today, over 5,500 blind people are accessing Be My AI every day, asking over 30,000+ questions daily to the AI-powered tool. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe new feature of having an AI assistant<\/a>, specifically Be My AI, has truly been a game-changer for me. It allows me to experience the world in a whole new way by providing detailed descriptions of various things,\u201d<\/em> says Malak, who has been beta testing Be My AI since March. \u201cThanks to Be My AI, I now have the ability to enjoy visual experiences and share moments in ways that were once unimaginable. Be My Eyes’ contribution has made a significant impact on our lives, and we are incredibly thankful for their invaluable support.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be My AI<\/a> is currently available for all Be My Eyes users on iOS. We have already started closed beta testing Be My AI for Android devices and our goal is to move it to broadly-available open beta status in the coming months. It is already possible to sign up on the waitlist for Android beta testing in the Be My Eyes app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
